Accessibility

SurveyLang is committed to a policy of open and equal opportunity for all, and this includes making the information contained in our websites accessible to as many internet users as we can.

We hope that the accessibility and usability levels of our sites are already good, but in order to make more certain of this we are actively working towards compliance with the main website accessibility standards (as defined in version 1.0 of the W3C WAI Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), and also with the upcoming version 2.0).

Here is a summary of the features we have used to make our site more accessible:

Our pages are designed with a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, but are also viewable at other resolutions such as 800 x 600 pixels. Page structure is conveyed using header elements. A style sheet is used with relative font sizes on all text with the exception of graphical text. Information can still be accessed if style sheets are turned off or not supported. Text can be increased or decreased in size by using the "view" option in your browser. Images that convey important information have alternative text. Where an image is used for a decorative purpose the alternative text will be left blank. No information is exclusively conveyed using colour. A site map is available to provide information about the structure of the website.
